Grooviest Christmas Light Show
Can't decide which is groovier: The Groovy Goat (terrific restaurant if you ever find yourself in Foley, Alabama) or the grooviest Christmas light show hosted by said restaurant.
Might have to investigate before I decide. Because, Science!

S'mores
Middlesex, VT is attempting to make the world's largest S'more. Is this possible?
Shiner Brewery in TX makes a seasonal beer called S'more. It allegedly tastes like chocolate and marshmallow. Is this possible?
We groovy people are going to investigate one or the other. Because, science!

We groovy people have not tried this particular basil olive oil, but the idea is intriguing - and groovy!

Santa Cruz
Business Insider says that Santa Cruz, California is a groovy small city. (Article link: here)
We groovy people will have to add this to our list of places to visit.

Field Roast
We groovy people are still scratching our head about this one. It is oxymoronic "vegan meat."
Wait, what?
Random order, jumbo shrimp, Schrodinger's cat.... It can't be both, my groovy peeps!
Is it vegan? Or is it meat?
Choose this day...

Butter Field
Well, my knee-jerk reaction is delight, as in, "What a splendid baby name!" Further reflection reminds me that the baby still needs a saint name in there somewhere. (Butter Augustine Field? Butter Anastasia Field?)
Still groovy.
Still groovy.

Then I Saw *This*
Let me see some stamps that are interesting, amusing, or pretty, I asked the nice postal clerk. Among the 3 (yawn) choices she gave me, was this monument to governmental bloat: Posters of the WPA.
Now, there is probably some historic significance to the program, yada yada, but nothing I'd call amusing or cute.
Then I saw THIS:
Then I saw THIS:
And, voila! The choice was made for me. Even the USPS is a fan of Field Day. This proves it. It has its own stamp.
Keep sending letters, groovy friends. They become increasingly valuable with each generation.

Science Lab (In a Box)
http://www.groovylabinabox.com/whats-in-the-box/
If we groovy people were still homeschooling our groovy children, we would totally look into these lab in a box surprises. Kids like to learn stuff. They like to see "What happens when I do this?" (Or, if you're Dee Dee, "What does this button do?")
Groovy idea whose time is now. Well played, Popular Mechanics!

Peanut Butter
We groovy people have a new favorite peanut butter. It has exactly two ingredients: organic peanuts and sea salt. What's not to love? And the name brand? Field Day! (I know right? Groovy bonus! Don't you love it???)

Bob Dylan, Redux
Apparently, the Nobel Committee thinks Bob Dylan is pretty groovy, as well.
Interesting choice, groovy friends.

We groovy people are told that the French make some pretty decent wine. This one is first on our list to try.

Enduring Love
We groovy people know that looks are fleeting, appearances can be deceiving, and feelings change. If you love someone because of how she looks, you won't love her for long. We groovy people know that love is a decision that you make, every day, day after day.
We groovy people choose to love anyway.

...and a G-rated everything else.

Churros
Churros - sugar, grease, deliciousness, sold by street vendors at all the happenin' places.
What's not to love?

Fresh Fruit
You know it's fresh because the banana is rather small. Dole and Chiquita bio-engineer bananas to be big and to withstand Panama Disease for export to US consumers (Franken-foods much?) but We Groovy People know that fresh is best. This is fruit grown locally, served locally, eaten fresh, the way God intended.

Twilight Zone Marathon
We groovy people have made a valiant attempt to bring many groovy things to your attention in 2015. Our final entry, as we finish the year, is the Twilight Zone Marathon.
We groovy people watch it every year, yet never tire of it. Happy new year, groovy friends!

House Hunters International
This show is so predictable, we groovy people have come up with a Bingo card of the phrases we know we'll hear.
Still love the show.

New Words
We groovy people used to play Scrabble with small (yet equally groovy) people, where, at the end of the game, when all we had left were goofy tiles that spelled nothing at all, we would make up our own new words.
It was great fun, and a splendid creative exercise.
Reading "The Buckets" (I wonder if it's pronounced "bouquet?") in the comics this morning, we groovy people have to wonder if, some day, there will be a blog called We Coolio People, or We Rad People, or We Beast People, or We Jim Dandy People, or We All That And A Bag Of Chips People...

Linda Clarke
How often do you say something off the cuff, and it makes the internet explode? Ooops, did she really *mean* single-handedly? Probably not, but it's a great ambition. We groovy people like those who dream big!

Morning Glory
We groovy people have heard this flower called "Kudzu Cousin," but if we get the right variety, they can be glorious.
