"Small, sweet, and curly: what's not to love?" says Animal Planet, about this new, tiny (3-5 lbs.) breed of cat. But they also admit that the word Skookum means, in Chinook, "mighty, powerful, and great." So, we groovy people like the cat, and like the word. We just wonder how the two came to be put together.

Peacock Feathers

With a nod to the NBC Peacock, real peacock feathers have their own aura of grooviness. God is such an amazing artist!

Marvin the Martian

Grooviness doesn't end at the stratosphere of Earth. No. It just keeps radiating out, in this case, to beings from other planets. Marvin the Martian tops the alien groovy list.

We groovy people find a couple of things delightful about this item. First, we already know that records are groovy. We weren't looking for a hat trick, but hey, serendipity.

Mushroom as a record label. Really? Is that like off-off-off Broadway? RSO, Epic, Decca and Arista aren't afraid of you, Mushroom. "We know you're just the wanna-be bad boy of the family. We only let you hang out with us because you're amusing."

However, "Crazy on You" by Heart, was really big in the late 70s.

We groovy people are surprised that one of the bigger labels didn't sign Heart. Their loss. Sometimes, the one you'd least suspect as being worth anything will come back and surprise you.
