We groovy people are not saying that the Studebaker is a groovy car. We'll reserve judgment for further consideration. This post is about the
price of the car. We all know that things were cheaper in "the good old days," but consider this geeky (and groovy) statistic. According to the
Bureau of Labor Statistics, the $665 price tag of a brand new car in this 1936 ad is equivalent to spending $10,467.91 today. Can anyone buy a new car for "only" ten grand today? Bring back the groovy good old days! And the 5 cent cigar, while you're at it.
