Old money is groovy, because it seems more authentic than the toilet paper being printed in the past 4 or 5 decades.
Old paper money certainly has collector value above its face value, but if the government tells you there is gold on deposit, do you believe them? I have no way to prove it.
I like old coins. They have value as money, but more importantly, they have melt value in the event of a financial meltdown.
You really can't lose with "old money." Very groovy, old money.
